ACT1 Theater is pleased to present Shakespeare’s

The Merchant of Venice

free in Wills Park. Performances will be in the Lion’s Pavilion on Oct 2-10 (outdoors – rain location will be the black box theater in the Alpharetta Art Center).
Performances will be Friday and Saturday at 8 pm.

All performances are free to the public.


Antonio, an antisemitic merchant, takes a loan from the Jew Shylock to help his friend to court Portia. Antonio can’t repay the loan, and without mercy, Shylock demands a pound of his flesh. The heiress Portia, now the wife of Antonio’s friend, dresses as a lawyer and saves Antonio.
